    There are four main steps to unionization: assessing support, building a community and vision, engaging the legal process, and winning certification.

  • Faculty Governance

    There is a lot of talk about “shared governance” at OU. But are we really sharing? OU’s Faculty Senate is an advisory body, not a governing body. Unionization empowers OU’s faculty with the legal right to negotiate with university leadership and seek the working conditions we need for us to thrive.

  • Equity and Justice

    Building a just, equitable and inclusive community at Ohio University is one of our core goals and we are committed to that goal. Our approach is to engage, listen, and reflect critically — and to work together to address the structural conditions that enable and perpetuate racism, prejudice, and injustice.
