Today, October 28 (2024), the faculty at Ohio University will make history! For the first time in the more than 220-year history of this University, faculty will sit down across the table from their employer and negotiate. We also got out on campus to talk with workers and students to raise awareness about our campaign!

This comes after months of delays and stalling from university management:

• 234 days ago, a supermajority of faculty submitted union authorization cards requesting an election

• 146 days ago, university management was asked for a list of "directors" they believed should not be in our faculty union

• 1 week ago, OU shared a list with 403 out of 1,042 total faculty listed as “directors”
